With more than two decades of advocacy and practical knowledge production, dissemination, and preservation in the Global South, the Redsea Cultural Foundation in Hargeysa, Somaliland, has officially established the Somaliland Centre for African Studies (SCAS) in 2023. The Centre is the academic wing of the foundation dedicated to asserting the space of African indigenous knowledge in the global educational discourse with the active role and recognition of African Scholars.
Its mission is to be a centre of excellence in African indigenous knowledge and methodology development whereby global scholars especially scholars of the Global South are networked for collaborative knowledge production, archiving, and sharing. Its vision is to become a leading and reputable African knowledge production, dissemination, preservation, and archival centre by 2030.
Dhaxalreeb is an academic journal that undergoes peer review prior to publication. It is published by SCAS and follows a Diamond Open Access policy. To submit an article, send it via email to dhaxalreeb AT redsea-online DOT org.
